New Pots by Esther Pottery

Our new pots by Los Angeles-based Esther Pottery are so beautiful we can't stop looking at them. Each pot is a handmade work of art by landscape designer Steve Siegrist and his wife, sculptor Renee Lotenero. They personally delivered the collection to the nursery and we love them.

Steve and Renee began creating this amazing collection of pots along with the help of their 11-year-old son Ethan. They have a modern organic feel, perfect proportions, and colors that remind us of the California coast.

Vertical Garden in Sunset Magazine

Did you see our pretty little vertical garden in Sunset Magazine? We only had it for a few weeks before a customer bought it right off the wall. We've been having a blast making gardens with Woolly Pockets. They can be used indoors or out, and the plants seem to love living in the pockets.

I love how easy it was to make this pretty little garden.

Here is a splashy combination for a sunny spot. Arctotis 'Hearts and Tarts' blooms all the time, and this evergreen Coprosma 'Evening Glow' keeps its bright colors year round too. The silver foliage of the arctotis provides a nice contrast.

Creating a Vertical Succulent Garden

People love the vertical succulent gardens that hang here at the store. Now that the special trays used to create them are available to the public, you can finally create your own! At this workshop we will show you how to plant them, teach you everything we know about caring for them, and even help you with plant selection and design.

Best of all, we have affordable succulent cuttings available just for this purpose. We have limited quantities, so come and get your cuttings while they last and get your garden growing.
